The Southern Conference seemed like a two maybe three team race this summer before the whistles blew. What has emerged this far into the season is a deep and highly competitive conference that is currently led by an unlikely squad.
This weekend FCS Nation will have their eyes locked on what will transpire in Culowhee North Carolina when the Furman Paladins roll into town looking to provide the Catamounts of Western Carolina with their first conferencw loss of the season.
I had a chance to talk with new SoCon commissioner Michael Cross about everything from league parody, FCS selection transparency, and the big matchups in the conference that had the entire FCS landscape paying attention. Check out the interview below:
